Proud Father

As a Parent

The Theory: I would love to dedicate 100% of my time and attention to my daughter Lea and son Jad. I wouldn’t work. I would give time to my personal life only when they are busy or asleep.

The Reality: We parents need to provide for our families and (try to) live our own lives-a long way of saying I’m guilty of not spending enough time with my kids. However, when I am with my kids, I am fully focused on them (not my phone).

As a Son and Sibling

The Theory: A middle-aged adult with two children and an entrepreneur is entirely self-sufficient.

The Reality: I call my dad for advice on business and family. I call my mom to vent to maintain my sanity. I call my sister for a pick-me-up. I call my brother to use his natural tendency to adopt the 80/20 principle.

I don’t have a backup plan for when any of them are gone. I don’t think any of us do
